Yarnstorming
Ever since H and I got a sneak preview, I’ve been waiting to get a glimpse of The Yarn Bomb, an outdoor community art installation at the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. Contributors from as far away at China donated works of knitted and crocheted materials, which were then sewn together into larger sections to dress the building. It was a fascinating exercise in color and texture.
And the Winner Is…
H needed a new pair of aerobic shoes, so we made what I foolishly thought would be a “quick” stop by a local running store to pick up a pair. I’ve never seen feet studied and measured in so many ways — and so many vibrant colors to choose from. In the end, a classic black pair made it to the top of the heap.

Pretty as Pie
When H and I travel (local or otherwise), one of our favorite things to do is to find someplace fun to eat. We discovered this little pie shop in downtown Duluth. What a tasty surprise!

Isn’t she a beauty? I discovered this huge Black and Yellow Garden Spider just hanging out at the church… but then again, she’s probably pondering her next meal (or mate).
