About
Many years ago my father took the family fishing. This activity was not one of his specialties, but he was always willing to try a sport at least once, especially for his three daughters. Thus it came to be that on one fine summer day, at our urging, Mom filled a picnic basket with sandwiches, Dad packed the car with shiny new fishing rods, and off we all went to the mountains. We spent most of the holiday with our lines caught in the trees, but it was a great adventure. I often think of this “tree-fishing” episode when I reflect on the things that fill me with excitement, joy, and laughter… and that’s how I arrived at the title of my blog.
Welcome to Tree Fishing and the Art of Adventure, where you’ll find a mix of everyday life and artistic flair all rolled into one big magical journey. It’s an exploration of my love of the arts, my joy of family, and my passion for nature and travel… rich in details and full of fun.

Ellen – Love Maria’s newly discovered flower pot! We went through some boxes in the attic Saturday and found lots of things. I just wish they had been as beautiful as the pot! Love the blog…D
Thanks so much! It really is lovely. Somewhere there is a picture of H when he was very young, and this vase is on the table in the background. Pretty cool!
