I came upon these flower pods (poppies?) during a recent visit to a local nursery. By the time I finished photographing them, the wind had blown the outside pod covers off. I’ll bet that they were open to their full glory by the end of the day.
Glow Cones
H and I recently visited a favorite little ice cream shop in downtown Marietta. We were there late enough that their neon signs were on and glowing. It gave the whole place quite a magical feel.

H and I joined an Atlanta Preservation Center walking tour this past weekend that focused on how railroads and commerce transformed Atlanta. I was surprised at how much street art we encountered during the two-mile walk. It was a lovely way to spend the morning.

This must have been a favorite skirt style of mine (elastic waist and pleats) because I keep finding it in the photo archives. It seems that white socks and dark penny loafers were stock items in my closet as well.

Yesterday I encountered this meeting as I was leaving work… uncomfortable seating, no beverages or snacks, and it looks like the conversation is at an impasse.
