Harvest Time

I’m always drawn to the miniature cranberry “bogs” that show up in the grocery stores around the holidays. It’s hard to resist plunging my hands into water and swishing those berries around.
Sparkling on the Square

This dance studio on the Marietta Square always has the most beautiful and intriguing window dressing.
Fashionable Family Friday: Now What?

There’s a lot of pondering going on in this picture. I’m not sure my uncle (and aunt) knew quite what to do with me.
Slowing Down

As the seasons shift, Mother Nature is beginning to settle in for a peaceful rest. It’s my favorite time of the year.
From Beans to a Bar

Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate is located in the Krog Street Market in Atlanta. I recently spent a delightful evening touring this tiny chocolate factory and learning about their bean-to-bar process. Each bar is made from organic and ethically sourced cacao from around the world. I was in heaven.
Golden Greeting

On our recent train trip (see previous post) we were greeted by this little smiley face when we stepped off the train in McCaysville. I love to encounter fun surprises.
On the Rails

H and I rode the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway this past weekend with his sister and her husband, who were visiting from out of town and had never been in the North Georgia Mountains. Despite the overcast skies and threat of rain, we had a delightful time chugging our way along the Toccoa River to the sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. It was a twenty-six mile roundtrip adventure.
Companions

I keep a handmade ceramic bowl — filled with hearts made of various gemstones, glass, and even lava — close by, where I see it every day. It reminds me of the abundance of love and blessings that surround me.
Getting Ready for Their Big Night

Even the pumpkins are dressing up for Halloween.
Fashionable Family Friday: Grab and Go

While Mom was giving us instructions (probably on how to behave), Sister S and I were totally focused on the BIG plans we had for the evening.
