The National Museum of the American Indian is part of the the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. It’s filled with stunning collections of art and artifacts, history, media and photo archives of the Native Americans of the Western Hemisphere. While there this past June with our nephew, these detailed feathered headdresses of the Amazonian peoples caught my eye.

Fashionable Family Friday: How to Pet a Goat
I’m intrigued at how different our approaches to petting a goat are. Sister L seemed to be really studying that patient little creature. Sister S just leaned right into it with lots of hugs. I, on the other hand, appeared to be concerned with the dust and fur collecting on my matching white knee-highs, tight shorts, and hair ribbons.
