There’s a new establishment not too far from our home called Crazy Love Market & Coffee House. In addition to serving a delicious brew, they specialize in Belgian waffles, a favorite of H’s. We’ve been a couple of times and can highly recommend a visit… I prefer mine plain, but H loves his loaded.
Where Did My Feet Go?
I discovered these fairy garden casualties sitting on a shelf in the church preschool office. When I mentioned to the director that living in the fairy garden looked rather challenging, she replied, “Not as magical as you’d imagine, huh?! Preschoolers play hard!”
Fashionable Family Friday: Beach-Blanket Picnic
As Sister S heads off to the beach next week with her own family, I am reminded of the many trips we took to the shore as kids. Lunching from the cooler was always a highlight, gritty sandwiches and all.
Feathered Friends Welcome Here
This week is Vacation Bible School at our church, which means that the hallways have been filled with chatter and laughter. I always love to check out the projects made by the young participants’ crafty little hands. These delightfully bright birdhouses caught my eye and made me smile.
Closing Time
The minute the winter weather breaks, H and I open up the back porch, where we spend most summer evenings when we’re home. It’s such a lovely spot to watch the sun drift down, illuminating the Japanese maple as it concludes its path for the day.

At a baby shower that H and I recently attended, the theme at the refreshment table was children’s books. The creative organizers had matched each book with an appropriate food item. One of our favorites was Dr Seuss’s One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.
