A Local Oasis

A recommendation from a friend led H and me to a hidden little gem not to far from us:  McFarlane Nature Park.  This former farm is a mix of woodland trails and  small gardens filled with indigenous plants and trees.  I was especially fascinated with the Nectar Garden, where native perennials support several beehives.  It was just a sweet little park.
