Hand of Time
February 27, 2013
I made this handprint, a kindergarten project that became a gift to my parents, when I was five years old. It has hung on our family walls ever since. My younger sisters also made handprints in school, although the materials became more sophisticated over time.
I have no idea what it’s made of – probably a primitive papier-mâché. It currently hangs in my office. Sometimes I place my hand next to it and try to imagine ever being that small. We are such amazing miracles.
