I hadn’t been in a fabric store in ages until last week, when I accompanied my sister to pick up some swatches for an upholstery project.  I was immediately reminded of the days when Mom used to make new dresses for us as if by magic.  It was amazing what she could do with a paper pattern and a couple of yards of material.
